This is the park that started it all. On Easter Sunday, the first really beautiful sunny day of the year, I went to Boulevard Park to enjoy the sun and the bay and the lovely views. I took photos to send to my Mom, to show her how beautiful it is where I live. When I e-mailed the pictures to her that night, I told her how pleased I was to be back in Bellingham and how I wanted to revisit all the parks again, and that maybe I'd make a project out of it -- visit one park per week. Mom added that if I take pictures of all the parks and send them to her each week, it will feel like she's visiting all the parks with me. I was sold! And the Bellingham Parks Project began.
